Total Provincial Impacts
Ongoing YWG operations, including direct, indirect, and induced effects, generate 18,500 total jobs (equivalent to 17,120 FTEs) and $990 million in wages throughout Manitoba. Including multiplier effects, operations at the airport support $2,060 million in total GDP and $4,320 million in total economic output.[1]
Figure 4-1 summarizes the direct, indirect, induced, and total employment and wages in the provincial economy attributable to ongoing operations at YWG in 2019, as well as annual GDP and economic output contributions.
